Meghan’s Christmas Prince! After weeks of speculation about Meghan Markle’s holiday plans, Kensington Palace confirmed to ET on Wednesday that Prince Harry’s fiancée will officially be joining the royal family for Christmas festivities.
“You can expect to see the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince Harry, and Ms. Markle at Sandringham on Christmas Day,” a Kensington Palace spokesman tells ET.
This is a break in tradition for the royal family, who in the past have only extended Christmas invites after a couple is officially wed.
The Sandringham House is the royal retreat in Norfolk, England, where the family tends to spend the holidays.
The family goes to church at the St Mary Magdalene Church on Christmas Day, so there’s a chance they will be photographed there in their holiday best!
Prince Harry and Meghan announced their engagement last month after more than a year of dating. The couple plans to tie the knot in May 2018. They will reside at Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace, where their neighbors will be Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and the future royal baby.
