Heartwarming: Couple gets engaged in front 'America’s Tallest Singing Christmas Tree'

I'm not crying -- you're crying! Watch as this couple gets engaged at the Mona Shores Choir's Singing Christmas Tree.

The holiday spirit isn't the only thing in the air for one couple in Mona Shores -- there's also an abundance of love.

Bob Grevious proposed to his partner of four and a half years, Darcy Welsh, right in front of a full audience at the Mona Shores Choir's Singing Christmas Tree show on Dec. 1. Both Welsh and Grevious volunteer for the tree and love Christmas -- so he thought it would be the perfect time.

They're both from the Muskegon area. Grevious has been volunteering for the Singing Christmas Tree for the last six years, and Welsh for the four -- they keep the children safe from falling, and tend to those who may not be feeling well. Grevious' two children have been members of the Singing Christmas Tree. Welsh is a Mona Sores alumni and was apart of the Singing Christmas Tree when she was in school.

Grevious planned on honoring a co-chair of the Singing Christmas Tree who losing her daughter to cancer, and in the midst of presenting her with flowers -- he would propose to Welsh. Grevious dropped to one knee and asked Welsh, "Will you be my Mrs. Clause, please?"

The Singing Christmas Tree is dubbed "America's Tallest" -- it holds 240 of the 275 singers in the Mona Shores High School Choir. They are also joined by a 50-member orchestra. According to their site, this year marks the 33rd anniversary of the tree.

Be sure to following the Singing Christmas Tree's Facebook page for future times and dates of performances.
