Try It Before You Buy It: Clever Cutter

WZZM 13's Lauren Stanton puts the Clever Cutter 2-in-1 knife and cutting board to the test in this Try It Before You Buy It report.

I stopped by the Fulton Street Farmers Market in Grand Rapids and met up with Sous Chef Bryan Nader from Mercy Health.

Bryan helped me put my latest Try It Before You Buy It product to the test, the Clever Cutter.

It's a two-in-one knife and cutting board all in one tool that acts like a pair of scissors.

We tested it on a carrot, and it worked great. You have to cut slower if you're looking to do thinner, more precise slices -- but, it worked great.

It worked even better on zucchini! It easily sliced through with quick, effortless chops.

It was a litter harder to cut through a cucumber. You can only chop items small enough to fit between the scissors, and the cucumber was just small enough to fit. But, the skin on the cucumber was a litter tougher, but we still could chop it without a lot of effort.

Bryan says as a Sous Chef, he still prefers using a knife. But as a lay person, I thought it was a great gadget and I can see many other uses for it, like meat or flowers or cheese. It would be great for an RV or Boat to throw in a drawer or use while camping.

I gave it a thumbs up.
