Receiving a diagnosis of cancer can be hard enough, but knowing where to start looking for more information for you or your family can also be challenging.

Shelley Brocci from Mercy Health talks with Health Reporter Valerie Lego about the Resource Center at Mercy Health Muskegon’s Johnson Family Cancer Center and how this support service that can help.

There is a lot of information available online and it can be difficult to know where to begin or what is accurate information for you. The resource center is a physical location you can visit and where you can ask for as much or as little assistance as you would like.

The volunteers at the Center are able to assist you in your research and you can walk out of the center with the information you are looking for.

The resource center is 100 percent staffed by volunteers who are former professionals and who have gone through appropriate training, as well as continuous training to assist those patients and family members.
