Chimpanzee poop incident at John Ball Zoo named 'top clip' of 2017

Just like many shows do in December, Jimmy Kimmel took a look back at the year that was on Tuesday, Dec. 12. He gave out an award for "Best Clip of 2017."

Well that stinks.

Remember that poor woman at John Ball Zoo who got hit in the face with chimpanzee poop back in the spring? Just when she probably thought that situation behind her, Jimmy Kimmel had to dig the footage back up.

Just like many shows do in December, Kimmel took a look back at the year that was on Tuesday, Dec. 12. He gave out an award for "Best Clip of 2017."

It was between that woman and five other clips, and what do you know? Our local lady won. So was it worth it? You'd have to ask her.

If this story doesn't ring a bell, here's what happened: the 89 year old was enjoy a day at the zoo when some kids started taunting the chimpanzee. It got irritated and flung its poop into the crowd. Fortunately someone had their camera out to make internet history. When I wrote this update, the YouTube video had 3.8 million views.

Apparently that wasn't the first time the chimpanzee did something people had a reaction to either. But zoo leaders did promise to install a new barrier so there wouldn't be a repeat of this incident.

Kimmel couldn't get the real victim of the fecal fling in the studio, so he said he'd mail her the trophy. After all she's been through, I'd say that's the least he could do.
