Distracted man causes crash in Hudsonville

It happened around 1:59 p.m. on I-196 near 32nd Street. Investigators say four cars heading west were involved in the crash.

A Fenton man is in stable condition at a West Michigan hospital after deputies say distracted driving caused a crash on Tuesday, March 21.

It happened around 1:59 p.m. on I-196 near 32nd Street in Hudsonville. Investigators say four cars heading west were involved in the crash.

They say 22-year-old Christian Dennis was distracted by something in his car, and didn't notice traffic had slowed down on the freeway.

Dennis crashed into two cars and a chain reaction caused a fourth car to be involved. Dennis was taken to the hospital.

The other drivers included a Grand Rapids woman, a Grand Rapids man and a Holland man. None of them were taken to the hospital.
