A man was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 12, for allegedly selling a 15-year-old girl for sex from July 27 to Aug. 31.
Mitchell James Hodges, 40, was arrested for allegedly selling a minor for sex at the Victory Inn in Roosevelt Park.
Hodges was arraigned on Wednesday morning in Muskegon.
He is charged with human trafficking of a minor, which is a felony charged punishable by up to 20 years or a $20,000 fine.
Hodges also has pending charges in Muskegon County Circuit Court for possession of methamphetamines and ecstasy.
Hodges was convicted for domestic violence and assault back in 2005.
Correction: A previous version of this story listed the victim's age as 16, which was the age provided by the prosecutor's office. We have since been informed the minor was 15 years old.
