A 16 year old from Ada admitted to police he was talking on the phone when he ran a red light and crashed into another vehicle.
The crash happened on Tuesday, Nov. 14 around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Chicago Drive and Main in Georgetown Township.
Police say the teen blew the red light and crashed into a 36-year-old woman from Hudsonville and her 13-year-old passenger. Both managed to walk away without any injuries.
The 16 year old was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
A witness to the crash told police the 16 year old did not slow down prior to the crash.
The teen was ticketed for failing to stop at a red light.
