A Basketball hall of famer was in Grand Rapids Thursday.
Dennis Rodman was the guest of honor at the Grand Rapids Drive game, and he delivered the game ball right before tip-off. He also signed autographs before the game for season ticket holders.
He was a part of back-to-back NBA championship teams with the Detroit Pistons in 1989 and 1990, and won three more titles with the Bulls from 1996-1998.
But his defensive intensity and energy in Detroit is what made him a star.
"Detroit just made it so easy to transition," Rodman said. "Once you got the format in your mind of how to work hard and do the right things on the basketball court and know how to win, that was the key. Once we started winning here in Detroit it just came so natural for us."
It's a rare feat for a player like Rodman to be in the Hall of Fame. His career scoring average of 7.3 points per game is the second lowest amongst hall of fame players.
