Free tickets available for 'sneak peek' of Little Caesars Arena on Sept. 9

There will be a public sneak peek event at the new Little Caesars Arena.

The public will be able to get tickets to a sneak peek at the new Little Caesars Arena on Saturday Sept. 9.

Tickets will be available beginning Friday, Aug. 25 for the Sept. 9 public sneak peek at the new Little Caesars Arena.

Olympia Entertainment Monday announced details surrounding the free public showing of the arena, which will take place from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 9.

The free admission is part of the Little Caesars Arena Preview Week events that also include an official ribbon cutting and a media preview day.

The details of the public sneak peek event:

  • Tickets are free and will be released to the public on Friday, Aug. 25, at 10 a.m. at Ticketmaster.com or the Fox Theatre and Joe Louis Arena box offices.
  • Tickets are good for a 60-minute time-slot between 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Sept. 9
  • There is a 4-ticket limit for this event, and tickets will not be available on event day
  • Online reservations require a Ticketmaster account.

The public tour will include what is billed as the world’s largest, seamless center-hung scoreboard; the “Via” or internal street concourse with its transparent, climate-controlled roof; and the larger-than-life projection “jewel skin” screen surrounding the exterior of the upper bowl.

Ticket-holders should plan to arrive 45 minutes prior to their reserved tour time at the Comerica Bank entrance located on the corner of Woodward and Henry. Free parking will be available at Olympia Development parking garages and surface lots.
