GRBJ: Dutch Girl Brewery assets to be auctioned off

SPRING LAKE, MICH. - A West Michigan brewery’s assets are hitting the auction block.

Assets from Dutch Girl Brewery in Spring Lake, which closed in March and filed for bankruptcy on May 2, will be available June 27 through a one-day online auction.

Orbitbid is handling the auction on behalf of the bankruptcy court.

Assets will be at the 7,500-square-foot brewery, at 4964 Cleveland St.

A number of items at the brewery will be auctioned: a 5-barrel, direct-fire brewing system from Greenville-based Pyscho Brew; three, 10-barrel fermenters; brite tank; 5-ton Gylcol chiller; 12-tap draft system; walk-in cooler; lab equipment; commercial kitchen; bar equipment; tables; seating; and TVs.

A preview day will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 26, with the auction taking place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 27.

Dutch Girl Brewery opened in 2015.

Orbitbid said it also completed auctions of Midland Brewing Co. in 2015 and Bravo Zulu Brewing in 2016.

The auction site is part of Byron Center-based Miedema Asset Management Group.
