Michigan's first free-standing Chick-fil-A opens Oct. 13

DELTA TOWNSHIP, MICH. - The first free-standing Chick-fil-A in Michigan is slated to open in Delta Township on Oct. 13.

The restaurant, located at 5617 W. Saginaw Highway, will open at 6 a.m., according to a news release.

A second location is set to open later that day in Troy. Another restaurant in Okemos is under construction and is expected to open in the first quarter of 2017.

During the Delta Township location's opening, the first 100 adults through the door will win a year of free meals, which include a chicken sandwich, waffle fries and a medium drink, according to the release. The restaurant will employ 100.
