GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - There has been a positive response to a new national store moving into Grand Rapids.
Moosejaw, a popular clothing line store among bicyclists and hikers, has moved into the renovated Klingman's Lofts near the Downtown Market.
The store is part of the company's 'pop-up to permanent' strategy. Officials say they open stores in new markets with short term leases before making a decision to invest in a permanent location.
“It's easy to come in and set up the shop for the holiday season and get a good gauge on the excitement and interest but so far if it's any indication on the initial reception and how excited people have been to see us down here i think we'll be just fine,” says Chris Hagist a manager.
Moosejaw opened a pop-up store previously in Downtown Detroit. It has since turned into a permanent retail location.
