Retailers coming up with summer deals to compete with Amazon Prime Day

Online retailer Amazon says it's seeing record sales on its annual Prime Day.

GRAND RAPIDS, MICH. - Online retailer Amazon says it's seeing record sales on its annual Prime Day, but Amazon is not the only place to find deals and steals.

Other stores are offering their own specials to compete with the online giant. So, if you are in the mood to shop, WZZM 13 Consumer Reporter Sarah Sell says now is a good time to do it. She found several retailers who are coming up with their own summer deals.

Best Buy is calling it "Big Deals Day." The big-box electronics store is offering a price match guarantee with free two-day shipping or in-store pick up on several of the items. Sale ends at midnight July 11.

JC Penney is having a "Cyber in July" sale by offering an extra 30 percent off and free shipping over $49. The sale goes through July 12.

At Sears, the sale is called “Summer Splash." There's free shipping and no minimum on door buster deals. Sale ends at midnight July 11.

If it's toys your looking for, Toys R Us is offering 20 percent off your entire purchase. The sale goes through July 12. And unlike Amazon Prime, there is no membership required to get the deals.
