1 person injured in Mecosta County hit-and-run

MECOSTA TOWNSHIP, MICH. - Authorities are looking for a driver involved in a Sunday morning hit-and-run that left one person injured.

According to the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called to the intersection of Northland Drive and 8 Mile Road in Mecosta Township on reports of a traffic accident around 9:30 a.m. 

A vehicle traveling northbound on Northland drive was t-boned by another vehicle going westbound on 8 Mile Road. The passenger of the vehicle on Northland drive was injured and taken to Big Rapids Spectrum Health Hospital. They are expected to recover.

Deputies say the driver of the vehicle on 8 Mile Road left the scene, continuing on 8 Mile Road and entered on US-131 southbound. They have not been located at this time.
