4 Battle Creek men arrested in connection to shooting investigation

BATTLE CREEK, MICH. - Four men were arrested after officers were called Taft Court to investigate a report of shots fired about 11 p.m. Friday.

Battle Creek police said they stopped a car and found a 19-year-old man inside with a handgun. Police began looking for any possible victims of a shooting and when they checked a nearby apartment found three more men, ages 19, 21, and 22, inside along with drugs and another handgun.

No victims were found and police are not sure if a shot was fired. One of the men taken into custody is being held on charges of drug and weapon possessions.

Two others were arrested on drug charges and the fourth for an unrelated warrant.

The investigation is continuing.
