Cooler, with Showers

Tuesday was a warm and humid day across West Michigan with one, small afternoon thunderstorm that develop over the western suburbs of Grand Rapids and exited several hours later over Saginaw Bay. Temperatures reached the upper 70s to around 80°with dewpoints in the 60s.

Tuesday night will be mostly clear early followed by increasing clouds after midnight with a chance of showers towards daybreak to the south. Temperatures will slip into the mid to upper 50s north and around 60° to the mid 60s elsewhere. Winds will be southwest-south at 4-8 mph inland and south-east at 3-6 mph along the lakeshore. Lake Michigan forecast: Winds: SW-E 6-12 kts. Waves: 0-1'.

Wednesday will be mostly cloudy with showers and isolated thunderstorms. Temperatures will cool off into the mid 60s to around 70° along the lakeshore and into the low to mid 70s inland. Winds will be south at 5-10 mph shifting to the northwest at 7-14 mph inland and south at 4-8 mph, shifting to the northwest at 6-12 mph along the lakeshore. Lake Michigan forecast: Winds: to N 5-10 kts. Waves: 0-1'.

Wednesday night will be cloudy and cooler with numerous showers, especially along and north of I-96. Up to ½-¾" of rain is possible. Temperatures will be in the in the mid to upper 50s. Winds will be west at 4-8 mph inland and 3-6 mph along the lakeshore.

Thursday will be cloudy and chilly with numerous rain showers. Up to ¼-½" is possible. Temperatures will be in the upper 50s early in the day and fall towards evening. Winds will be west at 6-12 mph, shifting to the north at 10-18 mph inland and north at 10-20 mph along the lakeshore.

Friday will be mostly sunny and cool with temperatures in the low to mid 60s. Winds will be northeast-northwest at 5-10 mph.

Saturday through Tuesday will be mostly sunny and milder with temperatures in the mid to upper 60s Saturday, around 70° Sunday, and in the mid 70s Memorial Day and Tuesday. Winds will be northeast.
