LOWELL, Mich. (WZZM)- Instead of holding separate meetings, members of the Lowell Rotary and Women's Club got together for a joint meeting Wednesday afternoon.
The gathering took place at the Grand Volute Ballroom Banquet Hall, just north of town.
WZZM 13's Juliet Dragos was the keynote speaker. She talked about her job and community involvement, including "Friends For Life."
One of the topics of discussion was Lowell's Pink Arrow Project. The community effort started two years ago as a breast cancer fundraiser at a high school football game, and has since helped to open a Gilda's Club in Lowell, raising tens of thousands of dollars.
