Weekend Morning Anchor/Weekday Multi- Media Journalist

I'm the Weekend Morning Anchor and weekday Multi Media Journalist at WZZM. I've been with the station since October 2005. Prior to coming to West Michigan, I worked as a reporter/anchor at television stations in Davenport, IA, Moline, IL and Rockford, IL.  I grew up in Rochelle, IL (Go Hubs!) and I'm a proud Huskie graduating from Northern Illinois University (NIU) in 1998. While working toward my degree, I was a morning drive weekend announcer/reporter on WNIJ, an NPR affiliate.

As a reporter, I truly believe in order to tell stories that matter most you have to become involved with the community on both a professional and personal level. That's why I'm always eager to get involved and tell stories that matter most to our viewers.

During my time in Grand Rapids, I've served as a member of multiple organizations; including  AAJA Michigan (Asian American Journalism Association) and the West Michigan Filipino Association.

I'm a 2009 graduate of Leadership Grand Rapids and a 2011 graduate of Saint Mary's UpNext Leadership Program. I currently serve as a Board member of Artists Creating Together and on the Marketing/Fundraising committees of Catholic Charities West Michigan and CASA of Kent County. In 2012, I was honored as a Young Athena nominee by the Grand Rapids Chamber of Commerce.

I'm passionate about encouraging diversity and raising awareness and action to end homelessness and hunger in our community. I'm a volunteer at Kids Food Basket and Gilda's Club of Grand Rapids and I frequently donate to Children with Hairloss. I was previously a cheerleading coach at Holy Spirit school in Grand Rapids and am the secretary of the West Catholic High School Parents Club.

In my spare time, I enjoy exploring West Michigan with my three sons; Devin, Drake, & Payton. You'll also likely spot me getting involved in a variety of community events, shopping, dancing, enjoying the beach, and trying out every restaurant West Michigan has to offer. This girl loves to eat!
