CUSTER, Mich. (Ludington Daily News)--An anonymous tip about an elderly couple locked in the bedroom of a home in Custer for days without food or a restroom led to the arrest of two Custer people serving as their caretakers.
Gary Edwin Rial, 58, and his girlfriend, Leta Ann Ream, 46, were each arraigned on two charges of first-degree vulnerable adult abuse Thursday in 79th District Court.
Rial and Ream were arrested Wednesday by the Mason County Sheriff's Office, the agency which investigated the incident.
