WGRD's Jackie Green and D&W Fresh Market Culinary Chef, Amy Sherman stopped by the Weekend Morning News to share the details.
The beer festival happens at John Ball Park in Grand Rapids! Guests can sample a variety of unique brews all in one place. Enjoy food from area restaurants. Expand one's beer knowledge with brewing seminars throughout the day.
Cost is $15 and includes a commemorative beer glass and four drink tickets.
Must be 21 years old or older to attend.

Beer Dessert recipe (as seen on the Weekend AM News)
1 bottle Short's Soft Parade beer
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup sugar or honey
1 pint blueberries
1 pint strawberries
1 pint raspberries
6 shortcakes, biscuits or slices of angel food cake whipped cream for serving
Pour the beer, vanilla and sugar into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook for about 15 minutes or until thick and syrupy. Place all of the berries into a bowl, pour the beer over them. Serve the berries over the shortcake with the whipped cream.
