ADA (WZZM)- After 40 years of scandalous affairs and characters coming back to life, the legendary soap opera "All My Children" will go off the air. It's a move that has fans disappointed.
"For one hour. I was allowed to watch Rescue Rangers and all my shows, but from 1pm to 2pm it was All My Children." My mom got her time," says Mike Zuidema.
He's not your typical fan. Zuidema is a sports writer for the Grand Rapids Press. He says it was that time with his mom that likely got him hooked on the daytime drama. He admits that the unbelievable story lines are entertaining."My favorite one is how ridiculous it is. Erica Kane basically shouted down a grizzly bear in the wilderness."
Kane obviously survived, like she's done many other times. Now, fans can only wonder what will happen to the all of the characters in the future.
Zuidema hopes for a little closure in the final episode. He has no plans to follow the story online. The last day for All My Children is Friday. It will then move online in January.
