CASCADE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) - The Kent County Sheriff's Department hopes surveillance photo will lead to the arrest of suspects who sprayed a security officer with pepper spray to avoid arrest for shoplifting.
The incident occurred October 25 at the Walmart store, located at 5859 28th Street SE.
Surveillance cameras showed a man and three women, along with a young child. The suspects were spotted placing items into a large purse. When they tried exiting the store without paying, loss-prevention worker stopped them.
One of the four suspected shoplifters sprayed the worker in the face with pepper spray. The four left in a dark, possibly green car.
