GRANDVILLE, Mich. (WZZM) -- People crammed inside tents outside big box retail outlet stores like Best Buy are common sights in the days prior to "Black Friday".
Surviving off sub sandwiches, fast food, and energy drinks, many braving the elements of a rainy, 35 degree Michigan fall evening rely on the kindness of family and strangers to be quite helpful.
Keeping warm from inside a Tigger costume, Joe Dallett of Wyoming is first in line outside of the Grandville Best Buy store. In fact, he's the only one at this point.
"The Tigger uniform is just to keep me warm. I've got a team in place, my fiancée will be making trips back and forth, breakfast and lunch", said Dallett.
Dallett is prepared in just about every way for the lengthy wait.
Dallett said, "It's not going to be that miserable, I'll get a tent here, you know, I'll crash out, and in the morning, we'll take it one hour at a time."
