EAST LANSING (Lansing State Journal) - A 22-year-old Michigan State University student found dead Friday is the third student who has been found dead in the last 10 days.
Foul play is not suspected in any of the deaths.
East Lansing Police are releasing minimal information on the latest death.
At about 12:30 p.m. Friday, two officers were dispatched to the Cedar Village apartments to check the welfare of a resident.
Officers found the student dead inside the apartment. No other information was released.
The case remains under investigation.
On Nov. 23, Jessica Hockensmith, 19, was found dead in her room in a Lansing house she shared with roommates.
Five days later, Nicholas Charboneau, 21, was found dead in his East Lansing rental home.
Police say drugs may have played a role in the deaths of Hockensmith and Charboneau. Toxicology tests are pending.
