Author Abby Heugel is donating this year's profits from her new book to the Humane Society of West Michigan, where she adopted two pets.
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- A Grand Rapids blogger's new book is helping homeless animals in West Michigan.
Author Abby Heugel's recently released her first book, titled "Abby Has Issues." It contains two years of her humorous essays about life.
Heugel is donating this year's book profits to the Humane Society of West Michigan, where she adopted two pets.
The profits already bought a truck full of donations, which she dropped off last week.
"Just to see the reaction of the people there and just to know that everything that I'm doing is for a greater cause -- it's just very gratifying," says Heugel.
