CASCADE TWP., Mich. (WZZM) - The Kent County Sheriff's Office says that three women have been charged in an October incident at a Walmart store where an employee was sprayed with pepper spray.
On October 25th, a loss prevention employee at the Walmart on 28th Street SE stopped three suspects who had placed items into a large purse and were leaving without paying. One of the suspects sprayed the employee with pepper spray and the three, and one more person, fled the scene. The incident was caught on security video.
Friday, police announced charges of Unarmed Robbery for Markeshia Wilson, 18, her sister, Jasmaine Owens, 21, and Nakisha Stacker 19. Wilson was arrested by the Marshals fugitive team and is the suspect responsible for the pepper spray. Owens and Stacker turned themselves in to police. The fourth person was not charged as investigators determined he didn't steal anything.
