Greensboro, NC (Sports Network) - Nik Cochran posted a game-high 22 points,
leading five players in double figures, as the Davidson Wildcats completed a
92-63 rout of the UNC Greensboro Spartans in a Southern Conference bout at
Greensboro Coliseum.
Chris Czerapowicz added 15 points and collected eight rebounds in the win for
Davidson (9-4, 3-0 SoCon), which also got 11 points apiece from De'Mon Brooks
and Tyler Kalinoski. Clint Mann tallied 10 points as well for the Wildcats,
who won their second straight.
Trevis Simpson netted 15 points to lead the way for UNCG (2-14, 0-4).
The Spartans were held to just 33.3 percent from the field during the opening
frame, allowing Davidson to take a commanding 48-26 lead into the break.
The Wildcats then hit 44.4 percent from the field and added 16-of-20 shooting
at the foul line over the final 20 minutes en route to a 29-point win.
The Wildcats hit 10-of-25 from beyond the arc during the contest and held a
43-26 advantage on the glass to help combat 17 turnovers.
