STANTON, Mich. (WZZM)- The Montcalm County Sheriff's Department is still trying to figure out if a Lansing murder suspect Christopher Perrien, has an connection to a couple murdered in West Michigan.

The 38-year old was recently arrested for murdering Michael and Terri Greene in Delta Township, in Eaton County. Perrien was arrested in that area, but has ties to West Michigan and once lived in Sand Lake. That's near where Michael and Kathleen Greene were murdered in their home in Pierson Township in 2009. No one was ever arrested in that case, but a sketch was made of a suspect that was seen in the area shortly after the murders. It has similarities to Perrien's mugshot.

The Montcalm County Sheriff, Bill Barnwell, admits it's also strange that the victims have the same last name. "But, what got us even more is that he was living in this area at the time of the murders. The sketches, well, there's also some similarities there."

Investigators continue to work on the Pierson Township case, but still don't have enough information to make any kind of connection between the two double murders. They do ask that you call the Montcalm County Sheriff's Department if you have any information about the Greene murders.
