GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - The Hallmark movie, "A Smile as Big as the Moon" will air on WZZM 13 on Sunday, January 29 at 9 pm.
The movie is based on the lives of Greater Grand Rapids area teachers Mike Kersjes and Robynn McKinney. They helped their special needs students go to the NASA space camp. These West Michigan students were the first in the late 1980s. But, since then, some 3,000 special needs students have attended the camp.
A red carpet movie premier was held Monday night at Celebration Cinema North on the East Beltline in Grand Rapids.
