GRAND HAVEN, Mich. (WZZM) -- A former pastor will serve 12 months in jail for sexually assaulting a young boy in Ottawa County.

Tedd Butler was the pastor at Gospel Light Baptist Church in Walker.

Last month, Butler pleaded guilty in Ottawa County Circuit Court to second-degree criminal sexual conduct.  The victim was a five-year-old boy assaulted at Butler's Tallmadge Township home in 2006.

Butler also pleaded guilty last month to fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct for another assault in Kent County.  He will be sentenced on that charge next wee.  Under an agreement approved by a judge, Butler's Kent County sentence will not exceed the sentence on the Ottawa County charge.
