NCAA Game Summary - Georgia Southern at Chattanooga

Chattanooga, TN (Sports Network) - Jelani Hewitt hit a thee-pointer at the buzzer to give the Georgia Southern Eagles a 75-72 win over the Chattanooga Mocs in Southern Conference action at the McKenzie Center.

Hewitt and Ben Drayton scored 16 points each for the Eagles (9-12, 7-4 SoCon) who have won three of their last four. Eric Ferguson added 15 points and seven rebounds, while Willie Powers provided 11 points and seven assists.

Drazen Zlovaric and Keegan Bell scored 16 points each for the Mocs (9-14, 3-7) who have lost their last five. Zlovaric added 10 rebounds.

Chattanooga led 36-26 at halftime after going 15-of-31 from the floor.

The hosts led by 16 with 12:03 remaining in regulation. The Eagles rallied to take a 70-68 lead with 2:56 remaining. The Mocs scored the next four points to re-take the lead but Hewitt tied the game on a layup with a minute to set up the conclusion.

Georgia Southern prevailed despite being outrebounded 40-32.
