BURNIPS, Mich. (WZZM) A West Michigan family will never forget Tom Brady's final game at Michigan Stadium. Leo Martonosi, his son Jim Wilson, and his two grandsons, Andrew and Dylan, attended the game on November 20, 1999. Michigan beat Ohio State 24-17 behind two Brady touchdown passes.
But the reason the game remains unforgettable was the chance to meet Brady after the game. Martonosi was the senior sports editor for the Holland Sentinel at the time. He was able to introduce his grandsons to the future NFL superstar after the game and get a picture taken with them. "He is my favorite quarterback in the NFL," says Andrew, who was nine years old at the time. "I actually got to meet him and take a picture with him. He was really nice about it. He actually talked to us a little bit too."
Dylan, who was four years old at the time, says he proudly shows off the photo to friends but many of them suspect it's been photoshopped.
The family tells WZZM they actually consider themselves Michigan State Spartan fans. All are predicting a New England win in Super Bowl 46 Sunday.
