Chicago, IL (Sports Network) - Jeremy Montgomery scored a game-high 14 points
to lead the Cleveland State Vikings to a 70-42 decision over the Illinois-
Chicago Flames in Horizon League action at the UIC Pavilion.
Trevon Harmon netted 13 points for the Vikings (20-4, 10-2 HL), while Anton
Grady contributed a double-double of 12 points and 10 rebounds. Tim Kamczyc
added 10 points as Cleveland State won its fifth game in a row.
Darrin Williams paced UIC (7-16, 3-10) with 12 points. Hayden Humes scored 11
points and grabbed six rebounds while Daniel Barnes chipped in 10 points and
four steals.
Cleveland State took a 24-17 lead into the intermission after it shot 47.8
percent from the floor in the opening period. The Flames struggled and went 7-
of-24 from the field in the first half.
The Vikings ran away with it after the break as they connected on 63 percent
of their field goals including 8-of-11 from three-point range in the second
half.
Cleveland State managed to score 22 points off of UIC's 16 turnovers. The
Flames scored only three points off of the Vikings' 13 turnovers.
