KENTWOOD, Mich. (WZZM) -- Police say a missing 16-year-old girl is considered a runaway, but the teen's family is asking for media help in finding her.

The girl is Aldijana Pepic . She is 4'11" and 120 lbs. with a medium build. She has light brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen at East Kentwood High School around 2:30 p.m. Monday, wearing a jacket, leggings and boots -- all in black.

Pepic's family say she was recently hospitalized for pneumonia, and still requires medication for her recovery.

Kentwood Police say detectives are working the case, but they also say she is considered a runaway. Officers say her disappearance does not meet the criteria for an Amber Alert.

Anyone who has seen Pepic is asked to call Kentwood Police at (616) 698-6580.
