Developers plan to turn Centerpointe Mall into an outdoor "power center."
GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- A southeast Grand Rapids mall is getting a makeover.
According to the website of developer Lormax Stern, the company is converting Centerpointe Mall into what its executives call a "power center" -- where all of the stores will be outside.
They says many of the current tenants -- including TJ Maxx, David's Bridal and Men's Warehouse -- are expanding or moving into new locations at the 28th Street center.
New stores are also being added, including Ulta, Rue21, Five Below, Dots, World Market, Sleep Number and the Vitamin Shoppe.
A mall spokesman says more details about the changes will be released Friday.
