OLIVE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- A West Olive teenager was killed in a Wednesday afternoon crash with another driver.

Ottawa County deputies say Carlos Puebla Jr., 17, was killed when his Pontiac Grand Prix collided with a Ford F-250 pickup around 4:45 p.m. Wednesday at 104th Avenue and Polk Street.

Investigators say Puebla was driving southbound on 104th Ave. and did not stop at the intersection.  The pickup, which was headed eastbound on Polk St., had the right of way.

The collision threw the Grand Prix over a ditch.  The pickup, driven by 33-year-old Jason DeBoer of Zeeland, rolled over into the ditch.

A deputy near the scene arrived and found that Puebla did not have a pulse.  The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene.

DeBoer suffered head and back injuries.  He is listed in stable condition at Zeeland Community Hospital.

Deputies are not sure if the drivers were wearing seatbelts.
