GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - Youth around West Michigan are taking part in the first ever youth summit at DeVos Place starting Friday.
The two day "Above the Influence" conference presented by the Kent County Prevention Coalition is designed to foster positive attitudes and behaviors towards lifestyle choices teens make, with an emphasis on living above drugs and alcohol. The conference is open to any student in grades 6 through 12 with parent permission.
Youth can attend one or two day sessions. There is no charge to attend but anyone wishing to attend needs to register online at the Kent County Prevention Coalition website.
The conference runs from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Friday, April 27th and 10:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday, April 28th.
