ADA TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WZZM) -- Kent County Animal Control officers are on the scene of a possible cat hoarding incident in Kent County.
Nicole Cook of the Humane Society of West Michigan says workers were called to a house near Fulton Street and Ada Drive SE Wednesday afternoon, and found 47 cats inside the home and its garage.
Cook says after a woman moved out of her father's home, he found 27 cats in her bedroom, ten in the basement, and ten more in the garage.
Workers say he had seen a number of cats outside the house, but knew nothing about the animals inside the home.
Cook says county Animal Control is investigating the incident.
