Jennifer Ackerman Haywood shows viewers a sampling of items by a variety of artists available for purchase at Sunday's Fulton Street Artisans Market.

The Market sponsored by Avenue of the Arts is from noon to 9 p.m. Saturday on S. Division Avenue between Fulton and Williams Street. The sale will feature work by more than 50 local artists and crafters including Bertha Zamora, an artist who creates ceramic vessels and fiber art at Heartside Gallery & Studio. I just featured Bertha in my GR Press column last week. The Fulton Street Artisans Market opening day is from 11 a.m. -3 p.m. Sunday at 1147 E. Fulton St. in Grand Rapids. The event will feature dozens of artists and crafters in the newly renovated farmer's market space.

I will be at the Fulton Street Artisans Market selling looms & magazines and collecting story ideas so viewers are welcome to stop down to show me their latest art & craft projects. They're also welcome to try their hand at weaving. I'm working on a new woven house and welcome help from market goers who would like to stop by and weave.
