GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM)- Aaron Ofseyer shows off his baseball skills in preview of the Let's Go to Bat for Kids fundraiser happening on Thursday, June 21st at 6:30 p.m.
LGTBFK takes place at Fifth Third Ballpark on Thursday, June 21 at 6:30 p.m. as area priests, our very own "Padres", battle the "Giants" (local media personalities) in a lighthearted softball game. Free children's games and activities are available on the concourse during the game. Admission tickets are just $5.00. Children 12 and under are admitted free.
Gates open at 5:45 p.m., Opening Ceremonies begin at 6:30 p.m. , the First Pitch is at 7:00 p.m. and the game wraps up by 8:30.
Event tickets may be purchased after June 1 at Catholic Charities West Michigan offices in Muskegon (1095 Third Street) or Grand Rapids (40 Jefferson SE). Tickets are also available at Fifth Third Ballpark just prior to the game.
The event also features a Grand Slam Raffle with gift certificates to local attractions and restaurants, 2 passenger tickets aboard the S.S. Badger Lake Michigan Carferry, and $500 cash. You need not be present to win.
WZZM 13 personalities that will be participating include Juliet Dragos, Valerie Lego, Brent Ashcroft, Dan Harland, Jennifer Pascua, and Sarah Sell.
