ADA TWP., Mich. (WZZM) - A teen was critically hurt and two other people suffered minor injuries in a two-car crash in Ada Township Tuesday evening.

The crash happened at the corner of Grand River Drive NE and E. Fulton Drive.

Kent County Sheriff's Deputies say that Amir Naraghi, 18, of Grandville, was driving a red, Jeep Cherokee south on Grand River Drive and did not stop at the stop sign at E. Fulton Drive.  His vehicle was hit broadside by a GMC Envoy heading west, driven by Gary Dennis, 59, of Grand Rapids.

Naraghi and his passenger, Bryn Hamady, 19, of Grand Rapids, had to be extricated from the Jeep.  Naraghi was unconscious at the scene and was taken to Spectrum Butterworth Hospital in critical condition with head injuries.  Hamady was hospitalized with minor injuries.  Dennis was treated for minor injuries and released from the hospital.

Kent County deputies are continuing the investigation to determine if alcohol played a factor in the crash.
