ST. JOSEPH, Mich. (AP) -- Police in St. Joseph have released the name of a man who drowned at a beach in the Lake Michigan shoreline community.
Police announced Thursday that the man has been identified as 26-year-old Alexander Hines of Benton Harbor.
Police in the southwestern Michigan community got a call Tuesday about a man who jumped from a pier at Silver Beach, then yelled for help.
He was pulled from the water and pronounced dead at an area hospital.
