IONIA COUNTY, Mich. (WZZM)- Deputies with the Ionia County Sheriff's Office attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a Ford pickup truck on W. Portland Rd near Nash Hwy in Boston Twp. early Sunday morning.
The driver of the vehicle failed to stop and a chase ensued.
The Ford pick up truck fled southbound periodically entering Barry County.
The vehicle then reentered Ionia County where the vehicle eventually stopped on Darby Rd. near Campbell Rd in Campbell Township.
The male driver who was the only occupant of the Ford pick up truck was taken into custody.
The Ionia County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Michigan State Police, and Ionia County Central Dispatch.
