MONTCALM TWP., Mich. (WZZM) - A six-year-old boy is in serious condition after being hit by a car Monday evening.
Montcalm County Sheriff's Deputies say that they were called to West Sidney Road near S. Johnson Road at about 6:45pm. A Gowen boy was on his way home from a neighbor's house, when he ran across the road in front of a 1998 Lincoln Town Car driven by a 32-year-old Lowell man.
The boy was taken to United Memorial Hospital in Greenville and then taken by AeroMed to Grand Rapids. The family tells the Sheriff's Dept. that the boy is in serious, but stable condition.
Investigators say that alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the accident.
