UPDATE 8:50 p.m. (WZZM)- Police confirm a woman was accidentally shot tonight on the southeast side of the city.
Witnesses and police say a crowd approached a home in the 4200 block of Curwood. A dispute ensued with the couple living in the home. One of the homeowners raised a gun into the air and fired several shots. While lowering the weapon, another bullet was unintentionally fired. It hit a woman a few homes down.
The gunman ran away. Police are still searching for him.

GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM)- One person was shot on the southeast side of Grand Rapids minutes ago. Police are searching near the 4200 block of Curwood for the suspect.
Disptachers have little information to share at this time but confirm the victim is still alive.
