GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) -- The U.S. Supreme Court's health care ruling is getting mixed reviews here in West Michigan.

At Sandy's Donuts on Leonard St. NW, the coffee and conversation are equally hot -- especially the conversation in the wake of the Thursday ruling. 

Under President Obama's health care plan, seniors will have better medicare coverage for high prescriptions and no copays for preventative care. 

The group of gentlemen WZZM 13 News spoke to are adamantly against the president's plan and the penalty the high courts ruled on.

Herbert J. Feigel says, "I don't like that at all. It's just one more step down the road of them telling us what to do."

Justin Corby says, "We aren't paying our bills now, all we're doing is taking more money out of government."  

The plan will give affordable coverage to the 50 million uninsured Americans. 

Professor Monica Allen thinks the plan and today's ruling are good things. "The whole idea is to insure that all Americans have the opportunity to have insurance coverage for health care," says Allen.  "I think it would definitely help people in all socio-economic levels." 

College students or recent graduates without work and insurance can stay under their parents plan until age 26.

Student Peter McCrary says, "I think it's good that they kept the part of the plan keeps them under their parents insurance, because I know I'm definitely going to need that."
