GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - The heat wave is affecting everyone, even the animals at the John Ball Zoo.
To keep the animals comfortable on Friday, zoo keepers gave them special treats. For the spider monkeys, frozen bananas did just the trick. The little primates gladly snatched up the cool treats which are part of the zoo's animal enrichment methods.
