NORTON SHORES, Mich. (WZZM) -- From a facility in Norton Shores, Source One Digital is helping national brands sell everything from cars to fruit juice.
The company started in 1996. The bulk of its business is printing high-end signs, point-of-sale displays, and product packaging.
If you take a tour of the printing floor, you'll likely see projects for companies like Ocean Spray, Cabela's, Behr Paint, Audi, Disney, and several national sports franchises.
Source One Digital CEO Randy Crow says just this year the company added $6 million in new printing and cutting equipment. Now Source One Digital can go after work orders from national retailers with more than 300 locations.
Crow says not every project his staff pursues is large, but some are seen by hundreds of thousands of people. Source One Digital is often called on to make one-of-a-kind projects for major sporting events like the Super Bowl or NCAA tournaments. On Kid Rock's recent summer tour, speakers on the stage were hidden behind a massive colorful banner the company made.
Source One Digital employs 52 workers in Norton Shores. Even though there have been opportunities for Crow to move production out of Michigan, he says the company is not moving.
"Source One was born in Michigan, and it will stay in Michigan," he says. "We are just glad to call this place home."
