GRAND RAPIDS (WZZM) - A Grand Rapids Police cruiser was hit early Thursday morning, leading to a short chase.
Officers responded to a call about gunfire near the My Place Bar on Division Avenue just after 2:00 am.
The responding officer's car was just pulling into the parking lot when a car leaving the area ran into the cruiser. That car sped away only to crash moments later near Madison and Garden. That's where police arrested the suspect.
Officers found evidence of a weapon inside the car, but not a firearm.
Neither the officer nor the suspect was injured in the incident.
